REHABILITATION & SKILLED NURSING
Skilled Nursing is a short term nursing home stay with a plan of care to return residents to their optimum level of functioning, so that they may have a better quality of life. This short stay, no longer than 100 days, takes place after an acute illness or injury and has an aim of restoring lost abilities so that the person can return to his or her home environment. Utilizing the person’s Medicare benefit, and any secondary insurance, this service will cover physical, occupational and speech therapies. It also covers any prescription drugs, laboratory or radiology charges. Residents in our facility under Skilled Nursing have a wide variety of diagnoses such as:
- Stroke or Aneurysm
- Orthopedic Fracture
- Cardiopulmonary Dysfunction
- Neurological Disorder
- Decubitis Ulcer / Wound Care
- Amputation
- Chronic Pain
- IV Therapy
- Other General Medical Problems
